In the story skin I’m in  by Sharon flake there is a girl named Maleeka who gets bulled the story takes place in the city and at mc Clinton middle school . The main conflict of the story is that Maleeka gets picked on and she doesn’t feel like she has any value and she makes friends with the wrong people . She learns that  she has to love that skin she is in and that she can’t let other people bring her down .

In the beginning, Maleeka gets bullied by john-john he made up a song and all the kids sing it he says ” Maleeka Maleeka   you’re so black … we want to keep you , but we just can’t see you ” she sometime borrows clothes from char she tries to be friends with her so that people stop picking on her . The author uses imagery to show how Maleeka lets the wordes people say hurt her and about herself . ” but even those hundred dollar pant suits she brought in for me can’t make up for the hurt I feel when she slaps me with them mean words of her. ”

In the middle of the story Maleeka is jumped by two boys and is almost raped .she doesn’t tell anyone about what happened and keeps it all inside Maleeka says my heart is about to beat me up in said . The author included this how scared she was .” I dig my finger nails into that other boy’s stomach and hang or tight like a crab ” she was trying to fight the boy’s to escape she went thrower it all by herself and  she never told her mom that this happened to her so she keep it in said .

in the end of the story Maleeka show that most change her and char detoured a class room and char set stuff on fire and then Maleeka the one that gets in trouble. The other blame it on Maleeka and she is going to be in serious trouble . Maleeka stand up to char and tell the truth about wat happen . She says I want to tell her that the truth will get my butt kicked good. That if I open my big mouth aren’t nothing she or mama can do to keep char from getting me back” the show how the fear that Maleeka has stand up to char.in the end that she has to take care of herself and love who she is that why she finely stand up to char .

After the eight grand Maleeka after 9 years in the middle school Maleeka is friends with everyone in the school and she love her life the end .

August 31st there was a sub in 8th grade Science class. A student began acting up. She got in trouble  and was kicked out of class. later my teachers ask me wat happen . The student said there a lot going on.  She ask , “Can I get a piece of paper so I can write it down.”  The assistant said “yes.”  She said ,”Tell me everything.”  The student said, “Ok.”

“I got angry.” and I walked out of class then I walk back in so the police offers was in the class room so he asked me what’s going on I said nothing then he walk me down  to the office so I sat down and  I got in trouble so my mom come to the school in she was mad at the teachers so my mom took me  home. and I got in trouble  for a week then. when I got out of trouble my dad was like wat happen I said nothing so he said go to your room and don’t come out I was like no.

I left with my friend and my dad called me and said come home I was like why then he said because you’re in trouble then I said no. So I went home and my dad put me in my in said  room in my dad was like wats going on.   I was like I was acting up and he said why I was like I don’t understand this work we do then my dad was like I will help you then I was like ok so me and my dad got all my home work and we went in his room in did my work then my dad was like do you understand wat to do I was like yes then my dad was like we are done I was yeah.

then my dad took me out to eat so we was like. wat do you want to do I was like lets go to the movies and my dad was like ok wat movies do you want to see I was like.it the clowns movie my dad was like ok the we left after the movies so me and my dad went home in went to bed .then when I woke up for school my dad was like you got your homework I was like yes dad then i left and I went to school gave my teachers my homework then it was then end of the day in my pick me up in said do you got homework I was like no dad in my dad was like ok .

i read  aboute dogs so there was a dog name jo he was just a puppy until he find a home there was a girl that wants the dog so she ask her mom can she get the dog and her mom said yes so when she got the dog the dog was happy when they left they went to the house in the was sick so they took the dog to the vet and they keep the dog for a day she when she got the dog it was happy so when the dog got home it went to sleep and the girl went to sleep !
